Custom Rebuilding Services – Your transmission is disassembled and inspected. Worn or damaged parts are replaced and then reassembled to exact factory specifications; along with new gaskets, seals, clutches, and bands. When Goodale performs a custom rebuild on your transmission, you are charged a bench labor rate plus parts. The parts cost depends upon how much hard part damage has been caused internally. Goodale has a minimum- parts- content- replaced in every unit that exceeds industry standards. This process can provide substantial savings as compared to an exchange unit.

 

Transmission Repair – A repaired transmission is one where a specific component is replaced or fixed. Generally speaking, only the component that is replaced would be warranted. This can be a problem – you may spend a significant amount of money on a repair, and later have something fail that is unrelated to the repair. Transmission repair may be cost-effective in the short-run, but has an element of risk. Most companies perform transmission repair because they don’t provide custom rebuilding services. We generally don’t recommend repair.
